Sr. Principal Program Manager

G-P
$172,000 - $215,000Remote

About The Position

The Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) leads G-P's highest-priority, strategic, cross-functional initiatives – the complex, high-visibility programs that don't sit neatly inside any one function. We're intentionally a small, senior team that focuses our resources on programs that are large in scope, span multiple departments, and directly advance G-P's most important corporate goals. As a Sr. Principal Program Manager, you will lead large, ambiguous, cross-functional programs, from executive-level framing down to daily execution, with minimal oversight. You will identify and overcome delivery roadblocks in a complex, cross-functional environment while ensuring alignment with corporate goals, executive timelines, and top-tier quality standards. You will partner directly with functional leaders and executives across the company, act as a force multiplier for cross-functional teams, and bring focus and momentum to G-P's most complex initiatives. Although this is a senior individual-contributor role, the ability to lead through influence is paramount to your success.

Requirements

  • 10+ years leading enterprise-level, cross-functional programs, with a track record of independently driving large, ambiguous initiatives to successful outcomes within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, not authority – building trust and accountability with senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and globally diverse team members you don't formally manage.
  • Mastery in executive communication, possessing the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization with extreme clarity, precision, and diplomatic grace.
  • A strong bias toward ownership and independent execution; you thrive with real autonomy and ambiguity rather than needing a defined playbook.
  • Sound business judgment and the ability to quickly get fluent enough in a new functional domain (e.g., Legal, Finance, Revenue) to lead programs within it credibly.
  • Comfortable in a lean, high-performing team where you do the work directly rather than delegate it.
  • Proven ability to steer multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously, seamlessly managing shifting corporate dependencies and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with AI systems to enhance personal and team productivity.
  • Experience with standard project/program/portfolio tooling and using AI capabilities to enhance and scale project/program management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in the rapidly evolving AI landscape (LLMs, generative AI, agentic frameworks) with a demonstrated ability to integrate these capabilities into practical, future-proof program management strategies.
  • Experience managing projects / programs with significant AI scope.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or PgMP.

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead the end-to-end lifecycle of large, complex, cross-functional programs from scoping and business case through execution, launch, and post-launch measurement.
  • Act as a trusted business partner to functional executives and their leadership teams, serving as their go-to contact for EPMO-supported work and as an escalation point when a program needs senior-level intervention.
  • Stand up and lead cross-functional working teams without formal authority over their members: establishing shared goals, a regular cadence, and clear accountability across departments.
  • Drive momentum as a force multiplier: set goals for today, this week, and the month ahead; unblock dependencies; keep distributed stakeholders aligned to a single source of truth.
  • Define macro program scope, objectives, and success criteria; develop comprehensive project plans and provide the authoritative record of program decisions and status.
  • Communicate program health (scope, schedule, risk, resourcing) clearly and regularly to senior and executive leadership, tailoring the message to the audience.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops to force difficult decisions, then hold the team accountable to the resulting actions.
  • Contribute to the EPMO team's standards, tools, and best practices for program management, including the adoption of AI capabilities throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Set the bar for program management excellence company-wide and mentor other program managers, even without formal direct reports.
