Northrop Grumman’s Corporate Sector's Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO) is seeking a Sr. Principal Enterprise-Wide Applications Analyst to join its Enterprise Resource Planning organization. The selected candidate will perform analyzes, evaluates, modifies, configures, tests and implements enterprise-wide purchased systems (e.g. SAP, PeopleSoft, etc.) In addition to preparing application system specifications as well as planning, implementing and coordinating system upgrades, enhancements or maintenance. This role will act as the SAP S/4HANA Application Security Analyst responsible for safeguarding the organization’s SAP landscape by designing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive security framework that spans S/4HANA, ECC, Fiori, BTP, GTS, MDG and SAP Cloud. Acting as the subject‑matter expert for SAP security and CIS (Cloud Identity Services), the analyst ensures “Least Privilege” access, conducts Segregation‑of‑Duties (SoD) analysis, and supports system upgrades, refreshes, implementations, and security enhancements while collaborating with functional teams, solution architects, and auditors.

Requirements

  • 8 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD or equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, ECC, Fiori (front‑end & back‑end), BTP, SAP Cloud, and emerging SAP technologies.
  • Hands‑on experience configuring Security Roles, Authorizations Objects and performing SoD analysis.
  • Proficiency with ControlPanelGRC, MDG, Joule, and Clean‑Core concepts.
  • Ability to maintain user provisioning, role design, and Fiori catalogs/spaces/pages across Development, QA, and Production environments.
  • Ability to maintain SAP Security user roles in a multi-path environment with multiple projects and recurring work going on in parallel and understanding impacts to role versioning.
  • Ability to perform peer-reviews of other Security analysts to ensure best practices and compliance checks are being met.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong background in SAP authorization concepts, Fiori concepts, CIS, understanding SAP SOD’s, and SOX/federal audit requirements.
  • Experience implementing “Least Privilege” principles and documenting security matrices, role definitions, and mitigating controls.
  • Proven project‑management skills; ability to independently lead security design and rollout initiatives.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder‑collaboration abilities.
  • Experience mentoring team members, creating security standards, and delivering training materials.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing, Materials & Sustainment, and PEO processes as they relate to SAP security.
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to monitor and enforce license entitlements.
  • Confidence in troubleshooting complex security issues in both FIORI and backend SAP Security Roles.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain the SAP security framework for S/4HANA.
  • Utilize GRC, to perform SoD analysis, analyze Job Roles, FIORI apps/Tcodes usage analysis and manage role design to meet “Least Privilege” and compliance standards.
  • Support SAP system upgrades, new implementations, and ongoing security enhancements.
  • For assigned Service Line and/or Sector collaborate with functional analysts, solution architects, and development teams to embed security in business processes.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, security policies, and audit‑ready records.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to the development of security training and standards.
  • Participate in weekly CAB meetings and be able to articulate the SAP Security changes going in for the week.
