Northrop Grumman is seeking a Data Scientist in support of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. NASIC is responsible for creating all-source intelligence defining the present and future air, air defense, cyber, space and ballistic missile threats to enable military operations, force modernization, and policy making. The role involves aiding in assessing the current state of data management within NASIC, identifying existing data assets, systems, and processes, and developing a comprehensive understanding of data needs, challenges, and opportunities. The position will provide recommendations for robust data infrastructure and architecture to support data collection, storage, processing, and analysis, identifying modern technologies like cloud computing and big data platforms. A comprehensive data lifecycle management framework will be implemented, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices. Mechanisms for data quality and integrity will be established, along with data integration solutions for interoperability. Advanced analytics techniques such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data visualization will be leveraged to derive actionable insights. The role also includes identifying training programs and capacity building initiatives to empower NASIC personnel with data management knowledge and skills.
