Listed within this posting is the anticipated salary range for this position, plus variable incentive compensation. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary and will be dependent on several factors that include, but are not limited to, your business experience, education, and individual capacity. Harford Mutual is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states. This position conducts physical on-site audits of commercial accounts to determine the appropriate classifications and exposures to be used as the basis of premium. Assembles facts and data having a bearing in the determination of actual earned premiums for specific classes of casualty insurance including workers' compensation and general liability. The territory covered by this position is Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Insurance.
  • Minimum of five years’ premium audit related experience.
  • PAAS Certification or other Insurance Industry Designation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits on larger, more complex commercial accounts to validate the accuracy of classifications and premium bases within a defined geographical area.
  • Resolve complex audit disputes by reviewing the completed audit information, disputed information and giving input on outcome of dispute.
  • Act as a mentor and help with training of other employees.
  • Assist UW in identifying classification codes for new accounts as needed.
  • Interact with agents and associates to communicate and support the audit results.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor.
