About The Position

The Sr. Portfolio Manager, Global Delivery will be responsible for delivery performance and overarching management of project management teams responsible for planning, executing, and managing a Global portfolio of projects and programs that support ELLKAY’s business objectives. This role requires a blend of technical (Data Migration/Achieve/Curation), project management, and healthcare-specific knowledge to ensure that our solutions meet clinical, regulatory, and business needs. This position will work very closely with the Sr. Director, Delivery Governance & Operations and all other functional area managers to ensure operational goals are met. This position requires an individual to be extremely organized, have excellent communication ability, demonstrate critical thinking/problem solving skills and a keen attention to detail along with the flexibility to work with various other areas of the ELLKAY business.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required and 5-7 years related experience in Healthcare Project / Program Management.
8–10+ years of progressive leadership experience managing complex technical programs, with at least 5 years dedicated exclusively to large-scale healthcare data environments.
5 years’ experience managing Global Teams.
5 years large enterprise/complex project or program management.
Deep technical understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM), clinical vocabulary/nomenclature (ICD-10, SNOMED-CT), and major enterprise EHR platforms (Epic, Cerner/Oracle, MEDITECH).
Proven track record in data archive management and legacy system retirement.
PMP, PgMP, or CHIME Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO) credentials are highly desirable.
Exceptional command of risk mitigation, organizational change management within matrixed hospital ecosystems, data profiling tools, agile principles and business intelligence applications.
Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
Knowledge of systems like Electronic Health Records and standard integration options.
Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, SharePoint, Office 365, and Asana preferred.
Skills in data analysis, interpretation, and reporting are necessary to drive process improvements.
The ability to lead and motivate cross functional teams, as well as influence outcomes across the organization.
Exceptional command of risk identification and mitigation of financial, operational, and strategic threats that can impact the project’s health, legal compliance, or relationship with the client.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with diverse stakeholders, from technical teams to executive leadership. Understanding of organizational change management best practices within a large organization.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to anticipate and mitigate project risks.
The ability to thrive in a complex and constantly evolving healthcare landscape.
Strong time management and prioritization skills, and ability to quickly switch tasks. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-oriented.

Responsibilities

Understand and Drive the strategy for project management teams responsible for multiple program initiatives, aligning with ELLKAY’s overall business objectives. This includes managing program budgets and forecasting resource needs across US and India.
Oversee the entire program lifecycle, including planning, resource allocation, and risk management for individual projects. They track progress and ensure projects meet customer requirements and are completed on time and within budget.
Provide strategic and operational oversight for globally distributed delivery teams, including teams based in India, ensuring consistent execution, quality, accountability, and alignment with organizational priorities.
Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams across geographic regions and time zones. Establish clear performance expectations, promote collaboration, and address resource or performance challenges.
Coordinate priorities, staffing, communications, and delivery handoffs among U.S.-based and India-based teams to maintain operational continuity and achieve project timelines, service levels, and customer commitments.
Focus on improving operational efficiency and quality outcomes by using data analysis, organizational change management, agile principles and process improvement concepts. This can involve analyzing clinical and financial data to find opportunities for improvement. Work closely with the Sr. Director, Delivery Governance & Operations to document Process Improvement Recommendations and Lessons Learned and share regularly with leadership along with implementation plans.
Ensure that all projects adhere to strict healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability), standards from bodies like Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), College of American Pathologist (CAP), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), and others.
Initiate internal coordination to secure required SME support, manage vendor relationships on active engagements with third-party data extraction, migration, and archival software vendors.
Develop and maintain program documentation, including business requirements, test plans, and project artifacts. They also generate and distribute reports on program status and performance with trends.
Serve as Delivery executive point of contact with vendors and client executive leadership to include Chief Medical Information Officers (CMIOs), Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Compliance Officers, and department heads to optimize implementation experience.
Work closely with leaders in both US and India. Partner with Sr. Director and VP, LKOasis Delivery to manage and optimize the multi-million-dollar program budget, ensuring proper resource allocation across project management, engineering, and clinical validation teams.
