The Sr. Plant Operations Manager- Warehouse assists in leading all aspects of a manufacturing plant, including safety, quality, production, and cost across various departments. This position is a developmental opportunity designed to prepare an individual for a Plant Director role. Requirements

  • 6 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
  • 6 Years – Experience in Position
  • 4 Years – Experience managing people/projects
  • Strong planning and organization skills, ability to multi task
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, or customers
  • High sense of urgency
  • Ability to work well under pressure in fast paced environment
  • Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Interviewing, hiring, and training
  • Planning, assigning and directing work
  • Appraising performance
  • Rewarding and disciplining employees
  • Addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or other related field

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to lead a safe plant culture
  • Responsible for product quality control for the plant
  • Responsible for plant production goals
  • Responsible to manage specific cost controls for plant
  • Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policy and guidelines
  • Work with department managers to ensure coordination of purchasing, production, quality and shipping
  • Select and train plant supervisory and administrative staff
  • Foster a well-trained and motivated staff through excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Conduct employee performance reviews
  • Schedule and conduct plant meetings
  • Ensure maintenance of clean and safe plant
  • Communicate with all levels of personnel through strong interpersonal skills
  • Attend corporate trainings and meetings
  • Communicate daily operations to plant director
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of the organization (executives, managers, employees and customers)
