About The Position

The Planning Department is looking for a passionate, hard-working and organized individual to join the Bath Detail Scheduling team, helping to improve the quality of our shipbuilding plans and schedules. We need someone who knows manufacturing, with a knack for taking complex problems and developing unique, simple solutions for the Enterprise to align around. Operating under the BIW Business Operating System (BOS), the Detail Scheduler ensures compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards while coordinating with other key stakeholders to meet overall milestones.

Requirements

High school Diploma or GED
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technical Field, or Graduate Apprentice, or 5 Years experience in Ships Completion
Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
Basic understanding of Microsoft office tools

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detail schedules for hulls to execute in a safe manner.
Develop and maintain detail schedules for all hulls across land level.
Regularly update and maintain detail schedules by incorporating changes, updates, and adjustments as necessary incorporating lessons from one build to the next.
Identify and assess risks, issues, and conflicts that may impact the schedule.
Independently identify and complete inter-departmental process improvement projects.
Effectively work with other departments including Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering & Quality.
Continuously improve scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
