About The Position

Perform Scheduler duties to status, track, and coordinate assigned range of documentation and minor planning in support of a specific function, working within applicable operating procedures and policies. Perform duties in compliance with Federal, State, local, NASA, and Space Force laws, regulations and requirements and Kennedy Space Center/Cape Canaveral Space Force Station energy management conservation regulations, collective bargaining agreements, security, safety, hurricane and other specialized programs or contractual requirements relating to the business of the section, working within the limits of established policy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years related experience.
  • Must possess general knowledge of office routines to include scheduling, general office administration, and a working knowledge of standard computer software.
  • Must possess good oral and written communications skills.
  • US citizenship is required for unescorted access to restricted work area(s).
  • Must be able to successfully pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
  • A driver's license to independently travel onto and around Kennedy Space Center FL.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduling activities including documenting, statusing, tracking, minor planning, and coordinating contractual obligations of the KPLSS II contract.
  • Interact with customers to ensure scheduled tasks and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure work documentation has been reviewed by required entities prior to execution, for proper coding, priority, and classification.
  • Review work requirement documentation, identify and coordinate needed support elements, coordinate access, and monitor work status during execution to ensure status and backlog validity.
  • Maintain accurate status and backlogs in computer database(s).
  • Perform, document, and coordinate discrepancy resolution of weekly status and completion date reviews for area of responsibility.
  • Generate periodic reports to track/report engineering, maintenance, or operations as directed.
  • Maintain security clearances, area permit(s), licenses, or certificates as required.
  • Perform other related or associated duties as required.
  • This classification may include managing hazardous materials or other environmental responsibilities.
