About The Position

The Sr. Pipeline Design Mapper prepares mapping deliverables for pipeline design projects from project kickoff through completion and delivery of as-built drawings. The role ensures mapping tasks are completed accurately and cost effectively with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include creating, developing, and verifying preliminary, construction, and as-built drawings.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Minimum of five years of direct experience in pipeline mapping.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Proficiency in BlueSky Skyline or a similar mapping platform.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering error-free drawings and documents.

Nice To Haves

• Post-secondary education or technical certification (1–4 years).

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and validate drawings and base files for alignment sheets, property plats, permit drawings, HDD plans, typical details, vicinity maps, environmental and erosion control plans, and FERC submittals.
• Develop access road, haul road, NWI, soils, and topographic maps.
• Prepare hydrostatic test drawings.
• Assemble and deliver complete drawing packages to clients and contractors.
• Plot and integrate property deeds.
• Maintain master property and easement files.
• Use CAD and alignment sheet generation software to produce accurate and compliant drawings.
• Consult with project managers, engineers, and surveyors to understand project scope and details needed to meet or exceed client expectations.
• Participate in client and contractor meetings and represent the pipeline design team in multidisciplinary discussions.
• Self-check mapping deliverables for errors before submitting them for peer review and squad checking.
• Conform to company and client standards.
