About The Position

The Senior Pipeline Engineer designs and manages pipeline and pipeline facility projects across the oil and gas sector. The role performs hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, HDD calculations, routing, feasibility studies, construction planning, drawings, cost estimates, and material take-offs. It coordinates with clients, project teams, and stakeholders; directs junior engineers and designers; and supports proposals, quality procedures, safety initiatives, scheduling, and project reporting. Travel may be required for field surveys, reconnaissance, and verification. The engineer delivers pipeline services that meet client, statutory, and regulatory requirements while maintaining schedule, budget, safety, and quality objectives. The role leads pipeline engineering activities across gathering, transmission, distribution, and midstream infrastructure projects and manages engineering scope, schedules, technical quality, and execution throughout the project lifecycle. It develops solutions for crude oil, natural gas, NGL, CO₂, hydrogen, and other pipeline systems; supports pipeline and facility design; and contributes technical leadership, mentoring, proposals, planning, and business development.

Requirements

  • Professional Engineer license and ability to obtain additional licensing through state reciprocity.
  • Minimum 10 years of pipeline engineering experience supporting oil, gas, CO₂, hydrogen, or other midstream infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering activities on pipeline and midstream projects within an EPCM environment.
  • Proficient understanding of pipeline design, construction, operations, maintenance, and integrity management principles.
  • Demonstrated experience performing and reviewing pipeline hydraulic analysis, system capacity assessments, surge evaluations, and flow modeling studies.
  • Deep knowledge of pipeline routing, crossing design, constructability reviews, material selection, and pipeline facilities design.
  • Familiarity with compressor stations, pump stations, meter facilities, launcher and receiver stations, and associated pipeline infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable industry standards and regulations, including ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, DOT Part 192, DOT Part 195, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting FERC 7(c) projects.
  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering projects and collaborating across technical disciplines.
  • Proficiency with pipeline engineering software, hydraulic modeling tools, and related engineering applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage engineering deliverables on complex projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and engineering judgment skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to engage customers, regulators, contractors, and project teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining technical quality and delivery commitments.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, innovation, and continuous professional development.
