St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is dedicated to advancing cures and means of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases through groundbreaking research and exceptional patient care. Our Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is committed to providing the highest quality clinical pharmaceutical care to children, integrating research findings into clinical practice as swiftly as possible. This role serves as the primary team member responsible for the administration, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of the Omnicell medication management system as part of the Pharmacy Automation team and as part of the Pharmacy Informatics Community at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Extensive experience with both Omnicell and Epic is strongly preferred. The position supports automated pharmacy systems used for medication dispensing, packaging, inventory management, and distribution, ensuring that equipment, software, system configurations, and workflows operate accurately, reliably, and efficiently. Responsibilities include coordinating system upgrades and testing; managing user, device, and system configurations; monitoring inventory and system performance; resolving technical and operational issues; and partnering with pharmacy, information technology, clinical, engineering, system administration, and vendor teams. Given the significant system administration responsibilities of this position, the role also serves as a key liaison between pharmacy staff and engineering and system administration teams outside the department, helping translate operational needs, coordinate issue resolution, and support system enhancements. This role supports pharmacists and other pharmacy personnel while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies and promoting patient safety.
