About The Position

Florida Power & Light Company is hiring a Sr PGD Maintenance Specialist based at the Port Everglades Clean Energy Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The position reports to the Plant Manager and works within a team to train, troubleshoot, and analyze equipment performance deviations. The specialist helps keep the site's mechanical equipment in excellent operational condition and available for use, and plans and executes projects across multiple maintenance disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and instruments and controls. Operations and multi-discipline maintenance experience are preferred. Occasional night or weekend work is required, and emergency call-outs may be necessary.

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Train, troubleshoot, and analyze equipment performance deviations as part of a team.
• Ensure site mechanical equipment is in excellent operational condition and available for use at all times.
• Plan and execute on-site projects across mechanical, electrical, and instruments and controls disciplines.
• Manage associated capital and operations and maintenance budgets.
• Manage the work management backlog.
