About The Position

The Senior Patient Care Technician works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and provides direct patient care, including bathing, assisting with elimination, making beds, and taking vital signs. The role also involves transporting patients and patient-related materials safely, promptly, and professionally; greeting and orienting patients to the care area; and performing meal service and feeding assistance. The technician provides additional selected care and collaborates with other team members to perform services as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three months of clinical experience, or a CNA license, or current enrollment in nursing school.
• Ability to use a computer for documentation and work-related purposes.
• Strong written, verbal, and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with others in a team setting.
• Positive attitude toward problem-solving.
• Accountability for own actions.
• Willing and courteous approach to service.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask.
• Ability to take direction while also being self-directed and motivated.
• High degree of responsibility and responsiveness.
• Ability to deal effectively with patients, visitors, situations, and other Care Team members while maintaining emotional control.
• Must be able to lift.
• Must be available for one week of full-time training.
