Sr Patient Accounting Representative, Full Time, First Shift, Remote
About The Position
This is a full-time, first-shift, remote position for a Senior Patient Accounting Representative. The role involves account management, checking the status of unpaid claims electronically or by phone, and working with third-party carriers or intermediaries. The representative will follow standard operating departmental procedures to pursue prompt payment of hospital claims for assigned financial classes and payors. Responsibilities include collaborating with other departments to drive payer collections, communicating process issues, and suggesting improvements to the Patient Account Lead. The position also encompasses revenue cycle performance, productivity, quality reviews, training and self-development, project work, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in medical billing and/or collections required
Nice To Haves
- Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred
