SR OT Systems Engineer
About The Position
Cybertrol Engineering creates and delivers custom-engineered automation hardware and software solutions to manufacturing customers throughout the upper Midwest and across the world. The firm is privately owned, headquartered in Minneapolis, and has additional offices in Madison and Marshfield, WI. Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other IT/OT-related field and 7+ years of professional experience or 10+ years of directly relevant professional experience
- Relevant experience within an industrial/manufacturing OT environment
- Expert-level knowledge of and Associate or higher-level certifications held with VMware, Cisco, Windows Server, cybersecurity, and industrial hardware/software
- Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities
- Setup and installation of virtualized micro-datacenters
- Design and deployment of plant-wide industrial networks
- Configuration of software for handling concerns such as thin client management, backups, cybersecurity, and devops pipelines
- Provide technical direction, mentoring, coaching, and supporting company-wide initiatives
- Work within cross-functional teams including Automation Engineering, Hardware Design, and Software engineers to deliver comprehensive project deliverables
- Work directly with Cybertrol’s customers to define OT-related project requirements and help design OT network-based solutions
- Communicate effectively with project team members for status, deliverables, and technical needs
- Manage configuration and commissioning of industrial datacenters, including hardware and network equipment
- Responding to urgent network-related incidents
- Perform site operational technology assessments, develop site assessment reports, and provide recommendations for improvement
- Create system documentation for both internal and external audiences
- Assist with proposal generation and estimating
- Mentor and support junior engineers
- Contribute to company-wide initiatives
- Refine and implement OT standards
