About The Position

This role provides strategic and technical leadership for enterprise database infrastructure supporting Hyundai Motor Group and its affiliates. It is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of mission-critical database environments that enable continuous manufacturing operations and prevent production downtime. The position drives high-impact initiatives across diverse database platforms, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability, while collaborating with headquarters and cross-functional IT/OT teams to deliver secure and efficient solutions across enterprise and plant systems.

Requirements

10+ years of hands-on experience managing large-scale Oracle and SQL Server database environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound, logical decisions
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines
Effective communication and collaboration skills across both technical teams and business stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment
Strong customer-focused mindset with experience supporting and engaging stakeholders

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification
Experience with SAP MaxDB
Additional exposure to enterprise ERP or database ecosystems

Responsibilities

Define and execute architecture, standards, and lifecycle management for heterogeneous database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Tibero) across Unix/Linux/Windows environments.
Support ERP, MES, and OT systems across multiple business units, proactively maintaining system stability and preventing production line downtime through performance optimization and reliability engineering.
Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot database performance using query optimization, indexing strategies, and resource management, while conducting root cause analysis and system testing.
Design and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity and safeguard mission-critical operations.
Lead database initiatives from requirements through implementation, collaborating with ERP, MES, and OT teams to support system integration, deployments, and ongoing improvements while ensuring timely project delivery.
