About The Position

Join a forward-thinking team as a Sr. Oracle Database Administrator focused on managing and optimizing high-performance, mission-critical Oracle database environments. This role emphasizes on-premises expertise while supporting our growing cloud initiatives. Enjoy a dynamic work environment in Maryland Heights, MO, with the flexibility of four days onsite and one day remote each week. This is a long-term contract (12+ months) offering hands-on impact, direct collaboration with technical experts, and opportunities to drive cloud migration projects.

Requirements

• 6+ years proven experience as an Oracle DBA, primarily in on-prem environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Oracle GoldenGate for replication.
• Advanced troubleshooting and maintenance skills (both on-prem and cloud).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
• Strong background in database backups, recovery, user management, and security.
• Ability to work onsite in St. Louis, MO, four days per week.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with database migrations and environment upgrades.
• Knowledge of patch management and automation tools.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and Oracle cloud migrations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, performance tuning, and maintenance for on-prem Oracle databases to ensure seamless uptime and reliability.
• Leverage Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication, synchronization, and disaster recovery processes.
• Monitor database health, proactively respond to alerts, and troubleshoot complex issues to minimize downtime.
• Execute backup, recovery, and security protocols while managing user profiles and access.
• Participate in incident bridges and provide expert guidance during business-critical support calls.
• Support ongoing database migration projects and hybrid cloud initiatives (GCP, AWS).
• Perform regular patching and system updates to maintain security and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to streamline processes and share best practices.
