The Sr. Optical Metrology Engineer – Integrated Optical System , is primarily responsible for supporting optical engineering efforts through testing, data analysis, and research to enhance optical system design. You will be expected to collaborate with teams to validate optical models, refine testing procedures, and contribute to the development of high-performance optical solutions. The Sr. Optical Engineer within the Integrated Optical System function will support metrology system development and qualification. This role is located on site in our Fort Worth, Texas location and a typical day would include: Utilize structured development and problem‑solving approaches to deliver robust metrology solutions in a fast‑paced environment Field, integrate, and qualify optical metrology systems for R&D and manufacturing applications. Support new product integration by developing and validating measurement strategies and system configurations. Develop and execute verification, validation, and measurement system analysis (MSA) activities for new and existing metrology equipment. Apply statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor system performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement. Troubleshoot metrology system performance issues across hardware, software, and process interfaces. Experience fielding and qualifying metrology systems in manufacturing or production environments. Experience with new product integration and manufacturing introduction Working knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and measurement system analysis (MSA). Experience supporting prototype‑to‑manufacturing transfer activities Familiarity with optical measurement concepts such as imaging, wavefront, MTF, dimensional, or surface measurements. Experience developing technical documentation, procedures, and work instructions in regulated or quality‑controlled environments. Work in a hands-on, cross-functional team environment supporting metrology systems in laboratory and manufacturing settings. Lead or support qualification and validation of optical metrology equipment for production use. Partner with internal teams and external vendors to source, integrate, and support optical metrology instruments and subsystems. Evaluate system performance, document compliance, and support internal and external audits as required. Drive continuous improvement of metrology capability through data analysis, troubleshooting, and process optimization. Develop and maintain documentation for system operation, verification, validation, and manufacturing transfer. Support prototype‑to‑manufacturing transfer of metrology systems, including documentation, training, and manufacturing readiness.
