This is the first dedicated on-site operations leadership role in the building. You will own day-to-day execution while driving cross-functional initiatives across safety, compliance, processes, and infrastructure. This is a hands on operator role: you’ll build systems, solve problems in real time, and help transform a developing site into a high-performing, scalable operation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of operations leadership experience in a highly regulated environment (pharmacy, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, etc.).
  • Experience leading high-volume operations and scaling teams and workflows in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong execution skills with a track record of delivering complex operational initiatives.
  • Experience with compliance, quality, and/or health & safety programs.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially in cross-functional and remote environments.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity with a strong bias toward action.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensuring performance across safety, quality, compliance, throughput, and service levels.
  • Lead and support a team of pharmacists, technicians, and assistants to deliver against site KPIs and volume targets.
  • Identify and eliminate workflow inefficiencies; implement standardized, repeatable processes.
  • Execute a prioritized remediation and improvement roadmap across facilities, safety, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive both quick wins and longer-term infrastructure and process upgrades.
  • Support facility expansion, including new site buildout, equipment installation, and workflow design.
  • Partner with US- and Canada-based teams (Compliance, Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, Security, Transportation, etc.) to implement and track initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly and proactively.
  • Partner with the Head Pharmacist to ensure adherence to all applicable Canadian pharmacy regulations.
  • Work with Compliance and Quality teams to maintain and improve SOPs and audit readiness.
  • Reinforce a culture of safety, accountability, and operational discipline.
  • Establish and track KPIs across safety, quality, productivity, throughput, and employee engagement.
  • Implement operating rhythms (daily stand-ups, weekly reviews, retros).
  • Prepare the site for increased volume, new programs, and growing operational complexity.
