The Sr. Operating Engineer/Plumbing performs critical repairs and maintenance in commercial and office environments, with specific experience in Data Center settings, operations, and protocol. This senior-level position plays a vital role in maintaining building systems and infrastructure, ensuring optimal facility performance while adhering to strict operational standards. You will apply mastery-level skills across substantial variety and complexity of duties, working independently to support JLL's commitment to exceptional facility operations and client service.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of senior/lead level experience in building construction trades, general building maintenance, and/or electrical fields
Demonstrated knowledge of critical building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent written communication and organizational skills
Proficiency with use of hand and power tools
Ability to work within precise limits, tolerances, and standards
Familiarity with general use and functions of computer

Nice To Haves

Advanced computer skills and proficiency with facility management software
Strong interpersonal and people skills with ability to build effective working relationships
Previous experience in Data Center environments
Additional certifications in building trades or facility management
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and maintenance across multiple building trades including plumbing, carpentry, painting and wall repair, and machine servicing
Conduct electrical diagnosis and repairs while managing HVAC preventive maintenance, repairs, and installation
Read, interpret, and follow architectural and general engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications as well as manufacturer's installation and maintenance documentation
Maintain critical building systems in Data Center environments following established protocols and operational procedures
Work within precise limits, tolerances, and standards using hand and power tools
Accomplish multiple tasks in an expedient manner while maintaining a consistent high level of productivity
Interface with internal and external clients at multiple levels, providing excellent service and communication
Participate in on-call rotation to ensure continuous facility operations support
