About The Position

RRD is seeking a Senior NPI Packaging Program Manager for Key Accounts in Santa Clara, CA. This role is responsible for New Product Introduction and the overall performance of business areas for key clients. The position involves developing and maintaining client relationships and deliverables, ensuring factory execution at target costs and on time. Key responsibilities include coordinating packaging design resources, account coordination, structural and graphic design inspection, press checks, package design validation, process creation and improvement, quality assurance, solution development, material recommendations, and logistics. The role also requires analyzing reliability test reports, participating in pricing negotiations by understanding technical and manufacturing requirements, and maintaining post-ramp customer contact for continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities. Tactical support to management, providing information on customer issues, needs, and opportunities, and resolving production issues are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or a related field
  • Five (5) years of post-bachelor’s, progressive, related work experience
  • Five (5) years of experience with/in: Reviewing all facts and weigh and prioritize the costs, benefits, risks, or chances for success on business initiatives
  • Five (5) years of experience with/in: Designing and execution solutions for clients within Design, Print and Packaging, Supply Chain and Logistics space for Global Consumer Electronics clients
  • Five (5) years of experience with/in: Engineering of Precision Graphic packaging
  • Five (5) years of experience with/in: Synthesizing and presenting all strategies and solutions including commercial, design, manufacturing, and opportunities for process improvement, in a clear and succinct manner tailored for each specific audience
  • Five (5) years of experience with/in: Working with cross-functional, cross-divisional and international teams with specific emphasis on China based manufacturing
  • Five (5) years of experience with/in: Designing for Manufacturing, designing workflows, Creating and Tracking Master Issue List (MIL), Creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Manufacturing and Inspection Plan and Process DFMs
  • Five (5) years of experience with/in: Analyzing reports and data to identify revenue and cost containment opportunities
  • Five (5) years of experience with/in: Working with clients and internal teams on new products to solve operational challenges and navigate the potential technical direction from concept stage to mass production cycle
  • Five (5) years of experience with/in: Understanding test reports and quality data to drive improvements and meet client specifications and requirements
  • Experience with/in: Working independently and on a flexible schedule to support the business and account requirements of customers and team members located in Europe and Asia
  • Experience with/in: Working with cross cultural and multilingual teams
