Sr. Network NSX Engineer || Hybrid role
About The Position
We are seeking a Senior Network NSX Engineer for a hybrid role. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and leading NSX migrations. This role requires strong expertise in VMware NSX-T/NSX-V, micro-segmentation, and zero-trust network security. You will deploy logical switching, routing, DFW, NAT, VPN, and load balancing, and integrate NSX with vSphere, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms. The role also involves troubleshooting complex network/security issues, performing root cause analysis, and automating deployments. Collaboration with various teams, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting solution design are key aspects of this position.
Requirements
- 8–15+ years of IT experience with strong NSX-T expertise
- Hands-on experience with NSX (DFW, routing, VPN, LB, micro-segmentation)
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VXLAN/Geneve)
- Experience with VMware stack (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
- Scripting/automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible)
- Experience with data center networking (Leaf-Spine architecture)
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS/Azure)
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills

Responsibilities
- Design and implement VMware NSX-T / NSX-V network virtualization solutions
- Architect micro-segmentation and zero-trust network security
- Deploy logical switching, routing (Tier-0/Tier-1), DFW, NAT, VPN, and load balancing
- Lead NSX migrations (NSX-V to NSX-T)
- Integrate NSX with vSphere, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Troubleshoot complex network/security issues and perform RCA
- Automate deployments using Python, PowerCLI, Terraform, or Ansible
- Ensure performance, scalability, and high availability
- Collaborate with network, cloud, and security teams
- Mentor junior engineers and support solution design/pre-sales (Architect level)
