Sr Network Engineer
About The Position
This role involves writing and engineering network device configuration scripts with associated change documentation to meet project goals and deadlines. The engineer will implement network changes during appropriate change windows (after hours), review and provide feedback on change documentation/engineering of other engineers, and establish processes to test applications and devices before planned network deployment to quantify their performance and recommend steps to ensure they are optimized. The position also serves as second-tier support for the network operations team when needed, participates in on-call support escalation rotation, and translates business needs into actionable deliverables. The engineer will manage small/medium internal data network projects and create detailed network designs (including physical and logical) that meet customer requirements of complex network systems to meet the functional objectives of the business. Additionally, the role serves as a technical resource providing guidance and advice to associates on data, voice, and mobile network capabilities for utilizing the full capability of technology in designing effective solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
- 5 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments
- Sr Network Engineer - Fortinet Firewalls
- Automation skills with network infrastructure
- Microsoft Azure Networking
