About The Position

Intrepid Solutions is currently supporting the National Air & Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) providing IT support services across multiple contract task orders. This is a NEW MULTI-YEAR contract. The program supports diverse needs providing employees many opportunities for career development, growth and advancement. To continue to excel this program, Intrepid is seeking a Sr. Network Administrator to provide support for all NASIC and mission partner networks.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret / SCI TS/SCI required upon application for initial consideration
  • High School diploma or equivalent desired.
  • DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II (CompTIA Security+) certification, required.
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of recent and relevant Network Administration experience.
  • Hands-on experience providing network support to NIPRNet, Cornerstone-Secret, StoneGhost, Cornerstone-Top Secret, and NORMALLAW as well as various networks and data circuits.
  • Ability to provide network security administration for all NASIC networks that have security appliances deployed including firewalls, VPNs, TACLANE’s, routers, ACL’s.

Nice To Haves

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate certification or equivalent, desired.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all EIA/TIA Industry Standards, Air Force Standards, Wright-Patterson. AFB Base Facility Standards, Tempest Regulations, and NASIC policies, processes and procedures.
  • Secure all network devices following DoD guidance, IC guidance, and DISA STIGs.
  • Provide network design, maintenance, and support in coordination with requests from the Network Service Owner.
  • Work with the Network Team Lead and the Network Service Owner to schedule all network changes.
  • Install routers/switches/firewalls and other networking devices, label in accordance with NASIC guidance and remove unused and/or abandoned network equipment.
  • Maintain architectural network diagrams and document all installations/changes in accordance with NASIC guidance.
  • Monitor critical NASIC IT infrastructure (e.g. networks, servers, storage, power, and cooling) and manage the monitoring systems software and hardware as requested by the government.
  • Install networking equipment that is OEM Certified.
  • Document facility work being performed using the NASIC Service and Incident Request system (i.e. Microsoft System Center Service Manager).
  • Document network changes according to applicable standards and processes.
  • Provide input to Daily Logs, Weekly Activity Reports, and Monthly Reports on all network tasks performed, man hours used and parts used.
  • Maintain Communications Equipment Rooms to ensure all standards are followed.
  • Perform hardware configurations/installations in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Install, configure, and manage virtual networks in the data center.
  • Manage software-defined networks in the data center.
  • Troubleshoot network issues.
  • Identify cabling issues/breaks.
  • Re-terminate fiber optics and cat5/cat6 cabling.
  • Repair and maintain network equipment.
  • Provide monthly functional area reports summarizing work accomplished, work planned in next month and important issues occurring during the month.
