About The Position

Element Electronics is seeking a Sr NetSuite Developer to join their internal IT team. This role will focus on reducing technical debt, improving code quality, and building new NetSuite functionality to support core manufacturing, supply chain, and financial operations. The company operates a deeply customized NetSuite ERP and is looking for a developer to enhance its performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on NetSuite ERP experience, supporting complex, customized environments.
  • 3+ years of SuiteScript development experience (SuiteScript 2.x strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience designing, building, and supporting RESTlets, APIs, and NetSuite integrations.
  • Proven ability to refactor, remediate, and modernize existing ERP customizations, reducing technical debt and improving system stability.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, XML, and related web and integration technologies.
  • Experience implementing and supporting EDI integrations, with SPS Commerce or similar platforms preferred.
  • Solid working knowledge of NetSuite modules including Manufacturing, Inventory, Order Management, and Financials.
  • Experience partnering directly with business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Background supporting manufacturing, inventory, or supply-chain ERP processes is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and delivery skills.
  • Ability to partner effectively with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex ERP environments.
  • Advanced SuiteScript development skills.
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite modules (Financials, Manufacturing, Inventory, Order Management).
  • Proficient in creating workflows, custom records, forms, and fields.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver solutions on time.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform thorough testing of customizations and system changes.

Nice To Haves

  • NetSuite certifications (e.g., SuiteCloud Developer, NetSuite Administrator) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Refactor and modernize existing SuiteScript and RESTlet code to improve performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Identify and resolve technical debt, reducing system issues and improving overall ERP stability.
  • Apply NetSuite and development best practices to ensure scalable, supportable solutions.
  • Design and develop new NetSuite solutions that support manufacturing, inventory, and operational workflows.
  • Translate business requirements into effective technical designs aligned with ERP and process needs.
  • Deliver high-quality enhancements that improve efficiency, data accuracy, and user experience.
  • Build and maintain integrations using RESTlets, APIs, and SuiteTalk to support enterprise systems and partners.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to ensure data integrity and operational continuity.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to implement reliable, scalable integration solutions.
  • Work closely with IT, operations, finance, and manufacturing leaders to refine requirements and priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor, balancing business needs with sound architectural decisions.
  • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Define and enforce standards for documentation, testing, deployment, and long-term support.
  • Promote consistent development practices that improve code quality and team efficiency.
  • Ensure solutions are well-documented, thoroughly tested, and sustainable for ongoing support.
