About The Position

The Sr Manager role in the Worldwide Sales Contracts team is responsible for individual and department-level oversight of contracts management. This includes conducting negotiations, reviews, and management of domestic and international contracts. The role provides Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for proposal activities to ensure compliance with solicitation requirements and policies and procedures. It involves reviewing and coordinating approvals of contractual documents to protect the company's contractual position, satisfy customer specifications and requirements, and adhere to company policy. The position advises leadership and other functions of contractual risks, rights, and obligations, and provides interpretation of terms and conditions. The Sr Manager acts as the primary interface with customers for fact-finding, audits, and formal contract negotiations, and serves as a focal point with other departments for resolving contract-related problems. Additionally, the role manages the contract change process, working with Sales, Program Management, Engineering, Completions, Finance, and other disciplines to mitigate performance risk. The Sr Manager is responsible for managing work, setting objectives, and meeting commitments for themselves and others, delegating assignments for developing solutions, and ensuring compliance with company policies, laws, and regulations. They also manage and provide training to employees, ensuring established procedures and processes are maintained, and proactively assist in developing and implementing new or improved policies and business practices to address changing internal and external contracting requirements. The role also includes performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 8 years Contracts management or related experience.
  • 2 years managing employees, programs, or processes.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of international business environment.
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with personnel at all levels.
  • Possesses strong computer skills (Microsoft Office), Sharepoint to support communications and business needs.
  • Demonstrates strong self-motivation and able to exercise prudent business judgment.
  • Demonstrates strong decision-making ability, negotiation skills and leadership competencies.
  • Collaborates and works well cross-functionally throughout the business.
  • Demonstrates practiced adeptness in all areas of contracts administration.
  • Is capable of managing work, setting objectives and meeting commitments, and is a strong team player.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance (where applicable).
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven solutions-oriented negotiator with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with counter-parties and their attorneys/representatives.
  • Advanced degree in related field may offset one year of experience requirement.
