About The Position

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Manager of Corporate Development Operations to join their M&A Deal Team. This role will focus on leveraging AI to streamline operations, automation, and analytics within the M&A process. The position requires a candidate with intellectual curiosity, an innovative mindset, strong analytical skills, and a focus on process optimization. The ideal candidate will be adept at data analysis, critical thinking, and comfortable working with executives and stakeholders across various departments including Corporate Development, Finance, GTM, and Business Technology. The role is based in San Francisco and requires 3 days a week in the office.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of total experience and a strong educational pedigree.
  • Previous experience in management consulting, data science, strategic finance, or M&A.
  • Experience working in the M&A and the technology sector preferred.
  • M&A experience - understanding of financial and valuation metrics; ability to identify and track business and operational key performance indicators.
  • Acumen to analyze data, identify inconsistencies, and present findings.
  • Extremely adept at integrating disparate information, correlating data, and understanding data trends into research papers or briefings with guidance.
  • Experience using AI tools for process improvement, within M&A a plus.
  • Experience with data quality assessment and implementing solutions to improve data quality.
  • Ability to build rapport, credibility, and trust with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Intellectual curiosity and strategic vision to produce credible analysis based on numerous interrelated data sets.
  • Ability to empower, collaborate, and work optimally in a team environment.
  • High level of energy, passion, and dedication to success; utmost respect for confidentiality.
  • Strong business judgment and attention to detail.

  • Experience with business visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own standardized reporting, pipeline metrics, and readouts.
  • Lead analysis on the portfolio of M&A deals, pipeline, and inbounds not pursued for acquisition or investment.
  • Leverage Salesforce AI products and other AI tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini) to streamline processes and create efficiency.
  • Support market, industry, and company research and analyses.
  • Own the reporting and analysis for the Salesforce Investments portfolio, including monitoring performance, valuation, and gains.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for preparing materials on the M&A program for the Board of Directors, executive leadership team, and Corporate Development leadership.
  • Own the development of the Salesforce M&A org’s enterprise tools, including feature development, managing reporting of inbound and outbound conversations, and maintaining records.
  • Support the M&A Deal team on acquisition strategy and proactive ideation or execution on Deals as required.
