Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech We are searching for Sr Manager Commercial Initiatives and strategy to be based out of Raynham, MA Purpose: The Senior Manager, Commercial Initiatives & Strategy will collaborate with leadership and key functional partners to shape the strategic agenda and ensure execution levers for the US Spine commercial organization. This role is responsible for working with leadership to prioritize, coordinate and execute the strategic planning process for this organization. This individual will facilitate the deployment and implementation of the strategic plan and assist in the development of tactical and operational plans as needed including monitoring and reporting on progress as indicated. This role will frequently need to act autonomously and work through ambiguity toward resolution, gain an understanding of the broader organization to collaborate with others and execute accordingly. The individual will help oversee key processes and initiatives within the business and proactively identify opportunities for process improvements.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience is required
  • Pervious experience in Health Care (Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Diagnostics and/or Consumer) is strongly preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Sales and/or Brand/Product Marketing required, preferably in the Orthopaedic or Medical Technology industry
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently through ambiguity and act autonomously with little to no direction
  • Demonstrated leadership capability including the ability to lead and manage through change and strong leadership principles
  • Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning and project management, including ability to manage multiple priorities required
  • Ability to negotiate and collaborate through influence in a highly matrixed organization
  • Strong business and financial acumen (analysis, budgeting, planning, etc.) in understanding the needs and priorities of the business with a demonstrated ability to leverage data and insights to gauge performance and justify decisions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Shape, lead and support key initiatives within the business focused on commercial deployment and Go-To-Market business model transformation
  • Proactively find opportunities for commercial performance improvements and collaborate effectively to address
  • Facilitate and coordinate all aspects of project management, including but not limited to project planning, change management, metrics and achieving key dates / milestones
  • Report on ongoing sales performance metrics, identify KPI for sales execution, and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance assessment.
  • Lead through change for critical initiatives and represent key Sales Planning and Operations COE initiatives for field sales
  • Act as commercial representative/proxy for VP Sales in sales, operations, and board level engagements as necessary
  • Ensure understanding of the external landscape relevant to this industry including market knowledge of Health Economics and Industry Trends, Customer Segmentation, customer data knowledge and buying process to create appropriate strategic and execution plans
  • Maintain the overall program plans for all initiatives and ensure that all projects managed in the program are executed in accordance with the Credo and compliance regulations
  • Support ad-hoc and short-term tactical projects prioritized by the VP of Sales; Compile, analyze, and report information; execute on agreed decisions made by the VP of Sales
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams from Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Human Resources, Finance, IT, Legal and Communications to implement key initiatives
  • Serve as liaison for key organizational initiatives between all stakeholders
  • Communicate business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Provide strategic support for the US Sales leadership team including management of the leadership team agenda and key priorities where appropriate
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to Medical Device’s business activities and Policies and Procedures of the Health Care Compliance Program and Johnson and Johnson Business Code of Conduct.
