About The Position
A Senior Meter & Relay Technician is a supervising employee under the direction of an Operations Manager. This role requires qualification as a Journeyman Meter & Relay Technician. The Senior Meter & Relay Technician works with and supervises other Meter & Relay Technicians, Assistant Meter & Relay Technicians, and others assigned to them. Responsibilities include organizing crews, instructing, and directing work involving substation protection and control. Additionally, the Senior Meter & Relay Technician is responsible for a meter, relay, and control equipment shop, including managing vehicles, tools, test equipment, spare parts, and supplies provided by the Company.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Qualified as a Journeyman Meter & Relay Technician
- Has a valid Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) license
Responsibilities
- Organizes crews, instructs and directs the work of Meter & Relay Technicians, Assistant Meter & Relay Technicians, and others assigned to them in work involving substation protection and control.
- Responsible for a meter, relay and control equipment shop, including vehicles, tools, test equipment, spare parts and supplies provided by the Company.
