About The Position

Join SiTime’s team developing MEMS timing products. The MEMS Development Engineer uses technical and creative problem-solving skills to design, characterize, and improve MEMS devices and help build the company’s next generation of MEMS products. The role involves experimental investigation of device physics, materials, and fabrication, and collaboration with cross-functional teams and vendors. Candidates do not need to meet every listed job requirement to qualify.

Requirements

Ph.D. in ME, EE, Physics, or equivalent.
Ability to design, conduct, and analyze experiments.
Excellent knowledge of mechanics, electrodynamics, and thermodynamics.
Knowledge of MEMS device fundamentals.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Passion for delivering exceptional results.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of industry experience.
Basic knowledge of programming languages, circuits, metrology equipment, and methods.
Knowledge of finite element simulation tools such as COMSOL or ANSYS, and signal processing tools such as Matlab.

Responsibilities

Design MEMS devices and characterize their electrical, mechanical, and thermal performance.
Extend and enhance automated infrastructure for MEMS design, data collection, and analysis.
Design, run, and analyze experiments to understand device physics, materials, and fabrication.
Interface with local and overseas vendors.
Work in cross-functional teams, including Circuits, Systems, and Packaging.
Drive or support projects and other company goals as needed.
Support other projects as needed.
