Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent vocational or technical training
  • Minimum of 18 months' clerical or customer service experience preferably in a medical or health provider environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations

Responsibilities

  • Greeting donors and conducting registration procedures to verify donor suitability at the plasma center
  • Assisting qualified donors complete the screening process following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Educating new donors on the therapeutic products made from donated plasma
  • Maintaining alertness and awareness to any reaction a donor has during or after the pheresis process and notifying appropriate staff
  • Conducting daily calibration of equipment and resolving calibration issues according to SOPs
  • Troubleshooting equipment failures; creating incident documentation, removing and/or replacing equipment from service
  • Maintaining a clean efficient work environment, and ensuring sufficient operating supplies and forms are available
  • Ensuring accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in SOPs
  • Following all Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures
