About The Position

The Sr. Material Planner is responsible to ensure timely supply of materials to the plant for uninterrupted production processing and servicing customers at a best in class level under single plant and/or low complexity. Responsibilities/Description: Plan both short- and long-term to align supply and demand to support inventory needs Facilitate collaboration meetings with stakeholders and vendors to review purchase forecasts, proposed orders, and other operational issues Monitor movement of materials through purchasing, storage, production, and retail distribution Set preferred stock levels and prevent excess inventory Solve problems of raw material shortages; Liaise with the local material coordinators/ site supply chain managers to ensure a smooth and aligned day-to-day planning process; Optimization and continuous improvement of material availability; global inventory days; inventory write-off; and obsolete/slow moving inventory. Design and create new tools to help improve the planning functions of supply chain Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related fields.
• 3-5 years experience in operational planning or a similar role
• Knowledge of MS Office tools (specially Excel)
• Excellent business English communication skills
• Effective communication skills
• Analytical and quantitative skills
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations
• Accountability
• Continuous improvement attitude
