Sr Material Handler - Weekend PM
About The Position
Sr. Material Handler is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations in the warehouse/packaging areas including support for production with material flow, inventory control and other general warehouse/packing duties. The successful incumbent will drive successful safety, quality and delivery metrics through continuous improvement efforts by teaching, training and leading team members. This role involves working with a team in a fast-paced environment assembling product for the medical industry. A Day in the Life: Manually assemble tubing and connectors to be used in the medical industry. Read manufacturing drawings and follow standard procedures. Manufacture bags applying standard procedures (SOP) in accordance with product blueprint. Record and complete accurate documentation according to GMP requirements. Drive safety culture and quality in all activities. Responsible for performing visual inspection on in-process and finished products and raise to leadership when appropriate. Participate in the Lean PPI (Practical Process Improvement) culture through Tier boards, GEMBA, JDI, RCCM, and/or Kaizen events.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years of manufacturing or lab or production experience
- Follow all safety protocols
- Drive quality in all activities
- Stand and move about including reaching, bending, stooping, grasping
- Use hand tools and equipment including forceful gripping, grasping, pushing, and pulling
- Infrequently lift and manipulate up to 50 pounds max unassisted
- Ability to work in a fast paced controlled cleanroom environment 8 hours a day with additional overtime as the need arises for production schedule adherence
- Ability to use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and understand chemical hygiene
