About The Position

Kiewit is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Sr. Marketing Specialist to support its Oil, Gas & Chemical (OGC) market. The role partners with the OGC Markets & Strategy team, business development, senior leadership, technical teams and creative professionals to develop and deliver marketing materials and initiatives that strengthen client relationships, support business development and elevate Kiewit’s OGC business. It requires strong project management, communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities in a fast-paced environment. The position also offers opportunities to support proposal development and other pursuit-related efforts. The Kiewit Energy marketing, creative and proposal team provides get-work services to markets including power generation, transmission and distribution, renewables, industrial, oil and gas, and water/wastewater. The team focuses on winning work through high-quality, client-focused sales strategies and creative communication techniques. This position is based in Houston, Texas. Occasional travel may be required. Work is performed during normal operating hours to meet deadlines, with overtime and weekends as required; work may take place at different locations and under varying conditions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in marketing, communications or a related field.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing strategic marketing content, executive communications and client-facing materials.
Ability to understand business objectives, market dynamics and client priorities and translate them into effective marketing strategies, positioning and messaging.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance strategic thinking, creativity and hands-on execution across multiple priorities and deadlines.
Collaborative, adaptable and proactive, with the confidence to work effectively with senior executives, technical teams, business development professionals and other stakeholders.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Regular, reliable attendance; ability to work productively, meet deadlines, communicate and interact professionally, follow instructions and policies, work safely, and work overtime and weekends as required.

Nice To Haves

A/E/C, EPC or energy industry experience.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

Serve as a key marketing partner to the OGC Markets & Strategy team, collaborating with business development, technical teams and leadership to develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with OGC business priorities.
Develop and execute digital, print and event marketing initiatives that support business development and strengthen client relationships, including marketing collateral, client presentations, event materials, executive biographies, advertisements, social media and award submissions.
Support OGC leadership with internal and external communications and materials that advance strategic initiatives, business growth and stakeholder engagement.
Develop an understanding of the OGC market, Kiewit’s capabilities, client priorities and industry trends to inform strategy, positioning and messaging, and translate complex technical information into clear, compelling content.
Collaborate with graphic designers to develop strategic visual concepts and materials that communicate effectively and consistently represent the Kiewit brand.
Support proposal and pursuit efforts, including proposal strategy, content development, reviews and production.
