Working under supervision, this person is responsible for shop quotes, management of the fastener inventory, and Epicor job trackers. The work involves interfacing with the shop floor, customers, and procurement office.

Requirements

  • BS/BA and at least 20 years of experience
  • Must understand how to use Epicor for certification tracker, logs, and data base.
  • Must understand how to read a complex drawing and understand fabrication techniques, and practices to document the flow throughout the shop.
  • This person shall provide planner duties that include evaluating work requests, interpreting complex drawings, developing quotes, generating travelers, verifying financing, tracking workflows, closing out paperwork, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • This person shall develop detailed fabrication status reports in Microsoft Excel for many customers.
  • This person is the main point of contact to customers and to shop personnel requesting procured parts.
  • This person shall be able to give an accurate quote on the whole manufacturing process.
  • This person shall be responsible for the fastener inventory room and need for replenishment of fasteners.
  • Studies specifications and drawings to perform quotes and develop schedules.
  • Verifies conformance of work piece to specification prior to delivering fabricated parts to the customer.
  • Uses hand tools to assemble parts when necessary.
  • This person will be the on-site interface for shop tools needed.
  • Exercises shop safety and shop safety processes such as, grounding, use of gloves, safety glasses and safety shoes, and keeping work area clean.
  • Able to work with multiple Computer Aided Design CAD programs.
  • Normal working environment consists of pulling and lifting up to 35 lbs, respirator/ equipment required when exposed to chemicals, climbing up to six feet, standing approximately 95% and repetitive motion approximately 80 percent. Close visual work with numbers/ measurements approximately 80% exposure to dust and close tolerance work during machining 90%.
