About The Position

The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for planning, implementing, and completing projects assigned by the Engineering Manager. This role involves defining project scope, tracking status, managing changes, and evaluating project success. The engineer will also control and maintain building drawings, troubleshoot Aerospace Resistance Welder Equipment, and train operators on its safe operation. A strong understanding of company procedures, quality policies, environmental policies, and safety protocols is essential, along with an awareness of the impact of nonconforming products and the benefits of continuous improvement.

Requirements

3 - 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience
Solid experience within an ERP system
Proficiency in project management software
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent decision-making, team building, and leadership capabilities
Robust knowledge of manufacturing techniques and tools
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
Vision (corrected or uncorrected) to AWS D17.2 Section 4.4.1.1
AWS Resistance Welding Technician Certification
Minimum Language Skills: English
Engineering degree or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

CAD knowledge a plus
PLEX knowledge a plus
Automotive and/or aerospace industry knowledge a plus
2+ years’ experience in CAD
Knowledge of applying GD&T
PPAP experience a plus

Responsibilities

Successfully plan, implement, and complete projects assigned by Engineering Manager within budget and time allocated
Help define project scope, goal(s), deliverable(s), tasks, resources, timeline(s)
Track and report project status, and implement and manage change as necessary to meet project requirements
Evaluate and report project success
Control and maintain all building drawings
Trouble-shoot Aerospace Resistance Welder Equipment
Train Operators on the safe operation of Aerospace Resistance Welder Equipment
Understand and follow all Company Procedures and work instructions pertaining to assigned tasks, and the potential consequences of departure from these Procedures
Knowledge of the Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, all Company Policies, and the importance of conformance to Soundwich and Customer requirements.
Knowledge of the effects that nonconforming products have on our Customers
Knowledge of the Environmental Policy, Environmental Objectives, all Safety Polices, and the importance of conformance to Soundwich and Regulatory requirements
Aware of the Quality impacts of their work activities, their roles and responsibilities in achieving conformance within the Quality System and the benefits of improved personal performance
Aware of the Environmental and Safety impacts of their work activities, their roles and responsibilities in achieving conformance within the Environmental and Safety System and the benefits of improved personal performance
Aware of how to submit Quality, Safety, Environmental and Business-Related questions or suggestions, and how to initiate continual improvements
