About The Position

This role is for a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for helping Soundwich succeed. The engineer will plan, implement, and complete projects, define project scope, track status, and evaluate project success. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and training on Aerospace Resistance Welder Equipment, maintaining building drawings, and adhering to all company procedures and quality policies. The role also requires awareness of environmental and safety impacts, and the ability to contribute to continual improvements.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience
  • Solid experience within an ERP system
  • Proficiency in project management software
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent decision-making, team building, and leadership capabilities
  • Flexible schedule based on project requirements.
  • Robust knowledge of manufacturing techniques and tools
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • CAD knowledge a plus
  • PLEX knowledge a plus
  • Vision (corrected or uncorrected) to AWS D17.2 Section 4.4.1.1
  • AWS Resistance Welding Technician Certification
  • Minimum Language Skills: English

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive and/or aerospace industry knowledge a plus
  • 2+ years’ experience in CAD
  • Knowledge of applying GD&T
  • PPAP experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Motivation, i.e., helping Soundwich succeed within Job Classification Responsibilities
  • Successfully plan, implement, and complete projects assigned by Engineering Manager within budget and time allocated
  • Help define project scope, goal(s), deliverable(s), tasks, resources, timeline(s)
  • Track and report project status, and implement and manage change as necessary to meet project requirements
  • Evaluate and report project success
  • Control and maintain all building drawings
  • Trouble-shoot Aerospace Resistance Welder Equipment
  • Train Operators on the safe operation of Aerospace Resistance Welder Equipment
  • Understand and follow all Company Procedures and work instructions pertaining to assigned tasks, and the potential consequences of departure from these Procedures
  • Knowledge of the Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, all Company Policies, and the importance of conformance to Soundwich and Customer requirements.
  • Knowledge of the effects that nonconforming products have on our Customers
  • Knowledge of the Environmental Policy, Environmental Objectives, all Safety Polices, and the importance of conformance to Soundwich and Regulatory requirements
  • Aware of the Quality impacts of their work activities, their roles and responsibilities in achieving conformance within the Quality System and the benefits of improved personal performance
  • Aware of the Environmental and Safety impacts of their work activities, their roles and responsibilities in achieving conformance within the Environmental and Safety System and the benefits of improved personal performance
  • Aware of how to submit Quality, Safety, Environmental and Business-Related questions or suggestions, and how to initiate continual improvements
  • Other tasks deemed necessary by Soundwich Management Team to be in the best interest of Soundwich and our Customers
