About The Position

This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges. AWS is seeking a WW Sr Manager, GTM Business Development to manage our Connect GTM field strategy by geography globally for Amazon Connect solutions. Amazon Connect services work backward from the needs of customers to provide a broad array of AI powered customer experience services that deliver personalized service across all channels (voice, email, chat, IVR) utilizing flexible access to data and applications to deliver exceptional customer and agent experiences. Amazon Connect is AI CCaaS (Omni-Channel, IVR, Analytics, Cases, Tasks, Customer Data Profiles, and more). As the Sr Manager, WW GTM Business Development, you will have the opportunity to create and deliver on our strategy to build mind share and adoption of Amazon Connect practices across our most strategic existing and new customers. The Sr Manager, WW Business Development will own, operate and define GTM strategy for Amazon Connect. You will be responsible for building and developing the key programs and initiatives to drive revenue and user adoption, ensuring new customers select AWS as their cloud provider for customer experience solutions via AWS field sellers. You’ll be responsible for leading a global team that is responsible for driving the Connect Geo GTM motion, which includes developing regionally specific go-to-market strategies and sales plays, enablement programs for AWS field sellers, identifying Connect customers & opportunities, qualifying & building pipeline, driving Connect solution discussions for customers, partnering with our regional Connect teams to qualify and validate how and when we deliver our services regionally, guiding successful customer implementation of the solution, and responsibility for the sales cycle and business goals. By establishing and growing business and technical relationships, and managing day-to-day interactions with these stakeholders, you will be responsible for driving top line revenue growth and overall end customer adoption and value. The Sr Manager, WW GTM Business Development will align closely with our worldwide sales, go-to-market strategy and business development leaders to drive strategic support, co-programming, and portfolio engagement to increase middle and tail of funnel outcomes and accelerate seller cycles in the field. You will also work with cross functional teams in marketing, solutions architecture, and business development to implement a consistent coverage model, go-to-market strategy, and goals for the AWS business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of sales/sales management in infrastructure or cloud technology leading a direct or indirect account team and experience leading leaders with proven results
  • Leadership experience in a customer-facing role in the CX/VDI technology industry
  • Experience working with new product/service development teams and their outbound functions
  • Experience negotiating complex deals with customers and partners or equivalent
  • Exceptional people-management skills; able to inspire and foster the right behaviors in others through leading by example (Player/Coach)
  • Ability to motivate, encourage and coach others to develop strong relationship building and sales skills
  • Track record of building rapport with senior customer executives (e.g. CEO, CIO, CTO), building close relationships, and helping customers execute on large engagements.
  • Experience carrying quotas, while consistently exceeded them by doing the right thing for customers
  • Strong CX background with history of growing a Contact Center, VDI, or Unified Communications business.

  • Develop operational planning documents and serve as a Amazon Connect subject matter expert supporting broader internal teams.
