The Sr. Manager, Technical Accounting, will be responsible for completing the company’s financial reporting package, including related disclosures, while managing the ERP and consolidation solutions. This role will serve as the Finance Department’s liaison to Information Technology staff, vendor resources, and other staff resources that utilize financial systems. Location: Plymouth, MN - Hybrid Your Responsibilities: Oversee the maintenance of the company's general ledgers. Prepares departmental, divisional, and consolidated operating and financial statements Manage the compilation of the consolidated financial statements and related disclosures Working collaboratively with corporate and business unit accounting teams to support the financial close process Oversee and assist in the process of reporting and reconciling intra-company transactions and balances in the monthly consolidation package Direct communications with Daikin Industries Ltd. Finance and Accounting Department on a regular basis Develop and communicate the month-end financial closing timelines and expectations Develop and implement the strategy of process improvements and systems to improve the timing and accuracy of financial reporting. Research technical accounting guidance and its application to the company Responsible for maintaining the chart of accounts for USGAAP and Japanese GAAP in Oracle Provide leadership over the Finance Business Systems Analysts for the maintenance, upgrades, and other core components of the ERP (Oracle) and other financial system software (Hyperion and SAP). Assures software modifications and upgrades are successfully tested before implementation in the live environment Develop policies and procedures to support the organization’s accounting policies Interact with outside auditors and participate in occasional auditing projects or provide information and access to the general ledger and other accounting records as required Manage employees by establishing, reviewing, and providing feedback regarding annual performance goals Develop and determine priorities and monitor the status of special projects on an ongoing basis Document and review the team’s documentation around systems and processes Collaboratively participate and be a key member in the implementation of our future ERP and Consolidation Systems Your Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 10+ years of Accounting experience 5+ years of people leadership experience 3+ years of Audit experience in a public accounting firm 3+ years of experience in consolidation processes Knowledge of major ERP systems Technical accounting knowledge with USGAAP and general knowledge of IFRS Preferred Qualifications: CPA 5+ years of Audit experience in a public accounting firm Knowledge of foreign currency and translation Manufacturing experience Your Benefits: Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance 401K retirement plan with employer match Paid time off and company-paid holidays Paid sick time in accordance with the federal, state and local law Tuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $113,800-$193,900 + 20% bonus in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 10+ years of Accounting experience
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience
  • 3+ years of Audit experience in a public accounting firm
