About The Position

Forescout has an excellent opportunity for an engaging and employee-focused Senior Manager, Systems Engineering - Americas to join our high-energy, multi-cultural, world-changing team. The Senior Manager, Systems Engineering is a customer-facing leader responsible for the execution, consistency, and effectiveness of pre sales technical engagement across multiple regions and/or verticals. This role partners very closely with Sales Leaders to drive revenue growth by providing consistent high customer value. This role will lead highly talented senior individual contributors, drive process standardization, elevate customer-facing presentations, and serve as an escalation leader for complex deals and customer situations. Success requires high emotional intelligence, strong executive presence, and the ability to operate independently in a highly complex, cross-functional environment while aligning teams to shared outcomes.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Presales systems engineering or related technical experience; 2+ years leading technical teams
  • Proven success leading complex, customer-facing organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously, make judgment calls, and influence without authority.
  • Strong executive communication skills; able to translate complexity into clear business value.
  • High EQ with the ability to navigate conflict, coach team members, and build trust internally and externally.
  • Experience driving process maturity and scalable execution in a growth environment.
  • Hands-on knowledge and Expertise in relevant industry technologies including Networking, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud and IOT.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day performance and outcomes of the regional Systems Engineering organization.
  • Provide hands-on leadership for deal strategy, complex opportunities, POCs, and critical customer engagements.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for technical, customer, and execution risks, driving resolution across functions.
  • Ensure predictable, high-quality pre-sales support aligned to revenue and customer success goals.
  • Define and enforce standardized pre-sales processes, best practices, and quality benchmarks across the region.
  • Improve consistency in discovery, demos, customer presentations, POCs, and post-sales handoffs.
  • Establish performance metrics, reporting, and operating rhythms to track execution and outcomes.
  • Continuously improve efficiency, scalability, and customer experience.
  • Lead executive-level customer interactions, delivering clear, value-driven technical presentations.
  • Ensure SEs demonstrate strong storytelling, credibility, and empathy in all customer engagements.
  • Assume ownership for regional customer satisfaction, proactively addressing risk and escalating when needed.
  • Model calm, confident leadership in high-pressure customer situations.
  • Partner with Sales leadership on account strategy, resource planning, and deal execution to drive revenue growth.
  • Align closely with Customer Success, Professional Services and Education to ensure clean pre-to-post sales transitions.
  • Collaborate with Support, Product Management, and Engineering to resolve issues and influence roadmap decisions.
  • Identify and support services opportunities tied to customer outcomes.
  • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing SE organization.
  • Coach leaders and senior SEs on technical depth, customer presence, and leadership behaviors.
  • Drive performance management, succession planning, and career development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and ownership.
