Join us and, together, we’ll advance your career. THE ROLE: AMD is seeking a Senior Manager of Supply Planning to lead supply planning for our Client business. In this role, you will guide a team of planners responsible for translating demand, capacity, material availability, and operational risks into actionable supply plans. You will partner across Business Units, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, and external suppliers to support successful product ramps, customer commitments, revenue attainment, and profitable growth. THE PERSON: You are a collaborative and decisive supply chain leader who brings structure to complex and ambiguous challenges. You balance strategic planning with hands-on execution and use data to guide decisions, manage trade-offs, and mitigate supply risks. You are an effective people leader and cross-functional partner who can influence stakeholders at all levels while continuously improving planning processes, tools, and organizational capabilities.

Requirements

Extensive experience in supply chain, supply planning, operations, manufacturing, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of supply planning, material flow, capacity planning, inventory management, and operational execution.
Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional problem-solving and influencing stakeholders across multiple levels and geographic regions.
Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills within a fast-paced environment.
Experience managing competing priorities, risks, and trade-offs in support of customer commitments and business objectives.
Previous people-management or team-lead experience.
Experience within semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, new product introduction, or complex hardware supply chains.
Experience supporting product ramps, capacity allocation, constrained supply environments, or executive-level escalations.
Proficiency with SAP, Kinaxis RapidResponse, advanced planning systems, dashboards, or supply planning automation tools.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Business, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Advanced degree or relevant supply chain certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Supply Planners supporting AMD Client programs.
Own supply planning across short-, mid-, and long-term horizons to support revenue objectives, customer commitments, and product ramp milestones.
Align demand, supply, capacity, materials, and execution priorities across Business Units, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, and suppliers.
Identify supply risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalate key decisions and trade-offs with clearly defined business impacts.
Manage supply planning performance through KPIs such as on-time delivery, revenue support, inventory health, excess and obsolete exposure, and supply commit accuracy.
Lead cross-functional resolution of shortages, capacity constraints, material readiness issues, planning parameter gaps, and execution blockers.
Improve planning processes, systems, and tools across complex bills of material, inventory flows, and multisite supply networks.
Champion continuous improvement, change management, and standard work to strengthen productivity, transparency, and planning discipline.
