About The Position

Excelitas is a global technology leader with more than 7,500 employees, focused on delivering market-driven solutions to fulfill the illumination, optical, detection and imaging needs of OEMs and end-users across the biomedical, semiconductor, industrial, consumer products, scientific, security, defense and aerospace sectors. Our facility in Billerica, Massachusetts, specializes in the design and manufacturing of advanced photonics products based on MEMS and other micro-scale optical devices. This site's Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) products are laser-based imaging tools that have transformed ophthalmic care and made notable impacts on patients in cardiology, dermatology, oncology, gastroenterology, and other medical specialties. The Senior Supply Chain Manager will manage the overall supply chain function including procurement, materials planning, production planning, stockroom operations, shipping/receiving operations, ERP administration, supplier contracts / negotiations, site inventory levels, and logistics.

Requirements

5-10+ years of materials management experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience building teams and developing strategies that focus on building high performance teams
Demonstrated expertise in supply chain functions: materials planning, master scheduling, inventory management and production control, and logistics preferred
5+ yrs of MRP experience
knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
Competence with Microsoft Office applications
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Must be US Person to work at Excelitas

Bachelor of Science or Business Administration degree preferred but not required. Candidates without a college degree but with equivalent experience may be considered
ASCM certifications a plus

Responsibilities

Manage the overall supply chain function including procurement, materials planning, production planning, stockroom operations, shipping/receiving operations, ERP administration, supplier contracts / negotiations, site inventory levels, and logistics.
Lead supply chain team members through the company’s organizational review process by mentoring, providing guidance, setting clear goals, and managing performance on an ongoing basis.
Identify improvement areas to foster a high-performance culture.
Manage and improve MRP closed-loop planning processes.
Oversee and manage the data integrity of the company ERP system to ensure schedule attainment goals and optimized inventory levels.
Drive the development and continuous improvement of ERP related business processes in areas such as shipping/receiving, return to vendor, supplier consignment, manufacturing order management, and others.
Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to oversee inventory record accuracy, supplier on-time delivery, supplier quality, master schedule compliance, and bill-of-material accuracy
Lead and maintain data mining attributes in ERP systems that include lead time accuracy, safety stock, MOQ, and fixed lot sizes.
Lead the process development and implementation of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) to accurately forecast production and material supply against customer demand and establish schedules that support on-time delivery.
Drive Site material deflation (cost reduction) efforts and participate in overall corporate deflation programs.
Work with suppliers to identify opportunities for cost reduction through product value engineering and through the reduction or elimination of non-value-added supply chain processes.
Manages the supply chain (procurement and production control) of all phases of the product life cycle phase-gate process from NPI to end of life.
Rationalize supply base size to achieve global business objectives.
Work with the Corporate Global Supply Chain Team to leverage Excelitas Frame Procurement Agreements and consignment in all procurement activities on a global basis (Asia, Europe, and America).
Supplier negotiation skills with excellent contract experience.
Manage supplier performance (price, delivery and quality) through quarterly supplier scorecard reporting and scheduled conference calls.
Initiate corrective actions and ensure closure on key supplier issues.
Work actively with Manufacturing team to ensure executable production plans are established and tracked, with clear escalation and timely issue resolution of production limiting factors.
Develop supplier partnerships to enhance mutual benefits in cost, delivery and quality while reducing complexity and product lead time.
