About The Position

The Sr. Service Sales Manager is responsible for leading the U.S. Service Contract Sales team to drive profitable growth across the installed base of flow cytometry instrumentation. This role leads a team of 6–7 Service Sales Representatives and partners closely with Field Service, Commercial Sales, and Marketing to expand contract attachment, retention, and renewal performance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of documented success in sales or account management within the life sciences, healthcare, or capital equipment environment.
  • 3+ years of direct people leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, lead through others, and drive results in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in forecasting, pipeline management, and KPI-driven execution.
  • Proven communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly accountable, proactive, and change-oriented leader with a “can-do” mindset.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Service Sales Representatives to achieve or exceed regional contract bookings, revenue, and KPI targets.
  • Lead the development of KPIs and performance dashboards, collaborating with analysts to ensure clear visibility into performance, productivity, and growth opportunities.
  • Drive successful CRM adoption by leading the team through funnel migration, reinforcing disciplined usage, and ensuring data flows accurately to support forecasting and decision making.
  • Own contract sales performance for U.S. region with accountability for forecast accuracy, pipeline management, and results.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Field Service, Commercial Sales, and Marketing to execute contract growth strategies and account plans.
  • Drive new contract acquisition, renewals, and multi-year agreements by removing sales obstacles and advancing disciplined territory execution.
  • Provide accurate monthly forecasts for contract bookings and revenue; communicate risks and opportunities clearly to leadership.
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews, performance reporting, and leadership updates as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement by optimizing sales processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and customer experience.
  • Maintain strong customer focus by understanding evolving preferences, addressing escalations, and ensuring alignment between sales and service delivery.
  • Continuously build competitive, market, and product expertise to inform strategy and coach the team effectively.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top sales talent while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and engagement.
