About The Position

This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving the region's contribution to corporate profit and productivity objectives. The Senior Manager will establish, drive, and monitor the region's sales plan, including allocation control and measurement, bid and contract management, financial and administrative affairs, and monitoring of competition and market conditions. Additionally, the role involves staff development, training, and performance reviews, driving regional programs for logistics and e-commerce, overseeing compliance and regulatory processes, and establishing and nurturing customer relations.

Requirements

  • Develop, maintain and improve the value of the regions contribution to corporate profit and productivity objectives.
  • Establish, drive, and monitor the regions plan to the rep & territory level based upon deployment, designated allocation, target customers, model vessel, and commodity segment objectives.
  • Assign, manage and control company assets based upon profit, production, yield and sales plan objectives.
  • Direct the regions program, including strategy, negotiation, selection, preparation.
  • Ensure credit & collection procedures are followed.
  • Report and monitor competition, develop and improve OOCL position and image.
  • Execute and manage the regions staff developmental and performance programs.
  • Drive & promote regional programs based upon functional owner and corporate objectives.
  • Oversee and role model OOCL compliance and regulatory processes and procedures.
  • Establish and nurture relations with core regional customers.

Responsibilities

  • Productivity - develop, maintain and improve the value of the regions contribution to corporate profit and productivity objectives.
  • Sales Plan – establish, drive, and monitor the regions plan to the rep & territory level based upon deployment, designated allocation, target customers, model vessel, and commodity segment objectives.
  • Allocation control & measurement - to the sales rep and territorial level, assign, manage and control company assets based upon profit, production, yield and sales plan objectives.
  • Bid & Contracts - direct the regions program, including strategy, negotiation, selection, preparation. Control quality, and monitor performance based upon OOCL bid guidelines and trade objectives.
  • F&A Affairs - ensure credit & collection procedures are followed. Manage T&E, and admin cost per budget and company objectives.
  • Competition & Market Conditions - report and monitor competition, develop and improve OOCL position and image.
  • Staff Development, Training & Performance Review - execute and manage the regions staff developmental and performance programs based upon OOCL standards and guidelines in cooperation with HR and SLS/Mgmt.
  • Logistics & E Commerce - drive & promote regional programs based upon functional owner and corporate objectives.
  • Compliance & Regulatory - oversee and role model OOCL compliance and regulatory processes and procedures.
  • Customer Relations - establish and nurture relations with core regional customers - visit or communicate with top customers regularly as required to sustain customers relations and business.
