About The Position

Lennox (NYSE: LII) is a leading provider of HVAC and refrigeration solutions with a 130-year legacy. AES, a division of Lennox established in 1988, is a major manufacturer of roof curbs and drop box diffuser systems, and has expanded to offer Mechanical Services and become a Misc. Steel manufacturer. AES aims to reduce construction costs and improve coordination for its General Contractor network nationwide through its four fabrication facilities. This role requires relocation to the Tallassee/Auburn, AL area within 12 months of hire. The Sr. Manager, Sales Operations will direct the internal sales team responsible for customer quotes, inquiries, and problem resolution. This role involves developing and monitoring quoting procedures, establishing administrative and technical procedures for customer service, and creating internal sales policies. The position ensures work output meets product/service and quality standards, achieves departmental operating costs, sales, and profit goals, and approves personnel activities including hiring, training, development, and performance evaluation. The role also manages the team's order-processing activities.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree.
  • Requires at least 8 years related experience.
  • Requires at least 3 years’ experience as a manager.
  • Must be able to train, evaluate, and direct the work of assigned employees.
  • Requires ability to establish policies and manage business and operational aspects of inside sales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective listening skills.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of the organization, products, and services.
  • May require advanced problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as escalation point for customer quoting, inquiries, issues, and complex requests to ensure timely resolution
  • Oversee and guide team handling of quoting, customer inquiries, order processing, and product information to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Ensure proper review and understanding of customer-provided drawings and specifications across the team
  • Manage and monitor the end-to-end lifecycle of customer requests from inquiry through production and delivery
  • Oversee handling of order modifications, cancellations, and returns to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Ensure consistent and disciplined quote follow-up processes, including reporting, status tracking, and coordination with third-party vendors
  • Drive coordination and alignment across internal departments (sales, operations, logistics, finance) to improve efficiency and customer experience
  • Ensure customer data and records are accurately maintained within CRM systems
  • Establish expectations and accountability for accurate tracking of customer interactions and account activity in CRM tools
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance overall customer experience
