About The Position

The Senior Development Manager (SDM) owns the performance, production, and development of new hires post-training until they are fully released to the sales floor. This role serves as the critical bridge between Training, Operations, and Sales Leadership, ensuring consistency, readiness, and early productivity of newly trained agents. The core objective is to standardize how Tuscany hires, trains, and transitions agents, serving as a benchmark model for the Tactical Manager structure. This role carries an abbreviated production target, responsible for approximately 6 Team Members producing a collective target VPG. The Development Manager also partners directly with Talent Acquisition, providing feedback on candidate readiness, training class composition, and the quality of hires.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years at HGV.
  • Completion of Training curriculum to the greatest extent possible.
  • Demonstrated strength in coaching, process discipline, and floor leadership.
  • Proficient in MS Office with strong analytical, supervisory, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of vacation ownership sales transactions.
  • Ability to think strategically, solve problems effectively, and motivate a team to excel.

Responsibilities

  • Direct accountability for new hire production, beginning at handoff from Training.
  • Provide floor presence through ride-alongs, table support, and real-time coaching and reinforcement.
  • Coach and develop Team Members (TOs), reinforcing steps of the sale, execution discipline, agreement and close standards, and operational ownership.
  • Own all new hires assigned to Tuscany, acting as the primary Tactical / Development Manager during their incubation period.
  • Standardize the process for how Tuscany hires, trains, and transitions agents.
  • Conduct daily trainings and lead morning meetings when applicable.
  • Provide structured daily training sessions, skill reinforcement activities, coaching check-ins, and QA review/call/table feedback for agents not on tour.
  • Carry an abbreviated production target (75% of standard budget).
  • Manage approximately 6 Team Members producing approximately 1,000 VPG total.
  • Ensure agents meet standard performance expectations, adjusted appropriately during incubation.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, providing feedback on candidate readiness, training class composition, and quality of hires.
