About The Position

The Sr. Manager, Real Estate Asset Management, leads a team of Real Estate Managers overseeing a portfolio of Company owned and leased properties. This role leads the collaboration with internal teams including Development, Franchising, Finance, Legal and Operations. This role works closely with landlords, brokers, and franchisees to ensure the timely execution of lease renewals, asset sales, dispositions, and refranchising deals. RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Successful candidates will be expected to work onsite 5 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in corporate commercial real estate, asset management, market research, and analysis within the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or Fast Casual industry.
  • Experience collaborating with landlords, brokers, and franchisees in a real estate capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of GIS/desktop mapping software and the ability to quickly learn new mapping and analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess information, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across departments and at all levels.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to efficiently gather, organize and verify data.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and occasional travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Real Estate Managers through the successful completion of projects including lease negotiations, landlord notices and consents, and other real estate contracts that seek to obtain long term property control, increase income, and drive a strong Return on Investment.
  • Manage and prioritize critical dates for a portfolio of 2,000+ company assets across the United States and Canada.
  • Work closely with Development to support new restaurant growth opportunities within the existing portfolio.
  • Manage a growing pipeline of Refranchising deals involving company assets that may require landlord consents, lease extensions, and other negotiations with short closing times.
  • Secure long term property control on assets that fall within the Remodel Plan.
  • Research and analyze market comps to identify Fair Market Value in comparison to company owned and leased assets.
  • Attend national real estate conferences as needed to build industry connections.
