About The Position

As a Senior Manager, Project Manager on our Small Business Bank team at Capital One, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects for the company. You will lead a diverse team of associates in delivering flawlessly executed processes that improve business efficiency and drive results. You will create and modify processes while collaborating with smart and passionate leaders to influence results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line and ensure we achieve our critical well managed objectives. You will help define process improvements including tool creation and evolution, achieve buy-in, and drive execution across our business. You will monitor data trends to measure effectiveness and install necessary benchmarks or thresholds to ensure data integrity. You will educate and partner with key stakeholders concerning the utilization of processes to ensure appropriate execution each time.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of Project Management experience
• At least 3 years of Process Management experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
• PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
• At least 8 years of Project Management experience
• At least 1 year of People Management experience
• At least 5 years of Process Management experience
• At least 2 years of experience in Compliance or Risk Management

Responsibilities

• Leading moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and direct reports
• Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements
• Ensuring projects are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time.
• Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent
• Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
• Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
• Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project and program efforts
• Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment
• Driving process improvements aligned with desired customer outcomes by decomposing customer needs and defining clear deliverables and timelines
• Analyzing, identifying, and correcting data issues with systems used or owned by a department
• Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes
• Managing and leading a team of associates
