About The Position

As a Production Control Senior Manager in Palmdale, CA, you will lead the Production Control Operations team within the Fabrication build areas and Support Services as part of the Production Control Senior Leadership team which includes Replenishment Center Operations (receiving, warehouse, shipping), Transportation, Chemical Management, and more. In this position you will lead a team of 100+ leaders, non-represented, and represented employees ensuring operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Extensive Production Operations Experience
  • Experience with Shop Floor Control Processes and material flow systems
  • Working knowledge of ERP & production systems (i.e. SAP, MES, WM, etc)
  • Experience with budget and cost control management.
  • Experience as an L code FSL leadership experience
  • Experience with coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, and performance assessment.
  • Experience working in a Bargaining Union environment
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance per business requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

  • Bachelors Degree with 15 plus years of experience
  • Must be able to build effective relationships as position requires extensive interface across organizations.
  • Experience working with and presenting to multiple levels of leadership including executive and customers.
  • Production Control experience
  • Experience with constraint management and project management.
  • Experience managing and delivering business/operational performance, including strategic, long-term decision-making to influence multi-year profitability
  • Lean Six Sigma, Green or Black belt certified

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning and execution for all material and scheduling activities supporting Fabrication and Support Services.
  • Manage Production Control disciplines and ensure adherence, including business process management, data analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive employee development, ensuring training, knowledge continuity, and professional growth for your team.
  • Formulate risk mitigation strategies for cost, tools, material, and schedule adherence.
  • Drive constraint management and compliance of build team schedule performance.
  • Be accountable for key performance metrics to track efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and integrate program and site level strategies, optimizing processes, methods, and business practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless coordination between production, supply chain, internal/external customers and leadership.
  • Represent the organization with both the program offices and our external customers.
