About The Position

Dacor, the luxury appliance brand within Samsung, is seeking an experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager. This role is responsible for planning and managing all aspects of product marketing for the Luxury Appliances category. This includes developing go-to-market strategies, setting pricing, executing promotional campaigns, creating collateral, and monitoring competitive activities. The position ensures key performance indicators such as revenue, margin, profit, and market share are met. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory alignment. They will equip sales teams with the necessary understanding and content to effectively position Dacor products against competitors. Building and maintaining strong relationships with sales leaders and customers is crucial for successful sell-to and sell-through motions. Additionally, this role will identify opportunities for promotional activities and determine their scope as part of inventory balancing. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will work with Samsung HQ to recommend product refinements by providing data-driven insights on local market and customer preferences. They may also form and lead teams, manage direct reports, and report findings and planned actions to upper management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.)
  • 10-12 years of experience in brand and/or product management, with P&L ownership experience
  • Experience in appliances, luxury appliances, luxury plumbing and building products, luxury kitchen market and related industry preferred
  • Considers the dealers, trade partners and end-users when designing product and go-to-market strategies, by consistently applying consumer learnings when making decisions.
  • Capability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely in a variety of settings, adjusting the message to match the audience level and size
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to estimate promotional sales lifts, sales forecasts, and sales opportunities for new product launches.
  • Experience managing retail market across multiple channels
  • Strong team player that can build and thrive in a cross-functional environment, with prove ability to build positive relationships with Sales and other internal teams. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employee and management – internally and externally.
  • Experience in creating, and comfortable with presenting, compelling presentations to Dacor, Samsung and customer’s executives
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Defines and drives the execution of the product marketing plan for Dacor Luxury Appliances segment to meet the P&L goals and KPIs
  • P&L Ownership: Leverages the financial target planning (TP) process to set and monitor monthly customer sales targets, to allocate promotional spending, and to monitor and drive inventory forecast accuracy
  • Product Lifecycle Planning and Execution: Drives product launch planning and go-to-market implementation for a strategic product line-up, including supply chain alignment, marketing plans, promotional bundling, assortment planning, and merchandising
  • Manages marketing activities and promotion investments across the lifecycle of individual products or categories to drive sales and profitability (e.g., market analysis, planning / pricing, product launch, inventory management, product retirement)
  • Actively works with Samsung HQ to identify in advance the new model capabilities and release dates that will ensure the timely development of promotional material and inventory clearance strategies
  • Collaborates with demand generation team to create Above-the-Line (ATL), Below-the-Line (BTL), and advertising materials, online assets, collateral, and training
  • Sales Forecast Optimization: Closely monitors and analyzes category market performance, sales feedback, and reseller inventory (sell-in / sell-out ratio) to resolve business challenges.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborates with product supply to effectively manage inventory to optimize sales, while minimizing on-hand quantities
  • Collaborates with sales teams and customers to develop key customer-specific sell-in and sell-through strategies, programs and pricing, requiring pitch presentations to retailers and buying groups.
  • Transitions from a support to a decision-making and people-management role as a surrogate Director when necessary
  • Works with senior leadership and maintains a consistent relationship with Korean Business Managers
